Admissions Process
Michaela is a selective Sixth Form for high-achieving, highly-driven students.
Are you on track to do really well at GCSE, securing 7s, 8s and 9s in your exams?
Do you want to do that in a school with extraordinary teachers, surrounded by other students who want the same as you?
Applicants to the sixth form should secure a minimum of 56 points across their 8 best GCSEs, including a grade 7 in English and Maths.
For example, a student who achieves the following grades would meet the requirements:
9+9+8+8+8+7+7+6 = 62 points.
Students wanting to study Further Maths at A level must achieve a grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics. Students should achieve a grade 8 in subjects that they want to study at A-level, or in related subjects for new courses.

Admission to the Michaela Sixth Form involves:
- Submitting a short (5 minute) online application form
- Having a short chat with the Director of Sixth Form about your academic goals
- Achieving the required grades
Meetings with the Director of Sixth Form will begin in January 2025.

Michaela Sixth Form is one of the most successful sixth forms in London. On average, over 80% of our students go on to study at Russell Group Universities, including Oxbridge, St Andrews, LSE, and Imperial. Last year 11% of our Year 13s went to study at Oxford or Cambridge.

Michaela Sixth Form is one of the most successful sixth forms in London. On average, 80% of our students go on to study at Russell Group Universities, including Oxbridge, St Andrews, LSE, and Imperial. Our A-Level Results were outstanding in 2024, with almost two thirds of our exams graded at either an A* or an A.
Michaela Community School (our parent school) opened in September 2014, and from 2019 to 2024 secured some of the best GCSE results in the country. Our school is rated outstanding by Ofsted. Michaela is the top school in England for the progress our pupils make.
